The Steptec bidet module is suitable for mounting on wall constructions pursuant to the regulations in section Regulations from section: Fields of application / Mounting conditions and is intended for use in a Steptec pre-wall construction.
The bidet module is compatible with common bidet ceramics, even with larger projection (barrier-free).
The bidet module complies with the noise insulation requirements specified in section Regulations from section: Sound protection .
The Viega bidet element is suitable for mounting on masonry wall constructions and support profiles pursuant to the regulations in section Regulations from section: Fields of application / Mounting conditions .
The bidet element may only be mounted on even wall surfaces.
For this, observe the Steptec system instructions for use.
With the construction height, the marked height of the upper edge of the finished floor must be observed.
Errors caused by incorrect construction heights may limit the setting range after the completion of the work. A correction and therefore a limitation of the setting range is only possible up to max. 20 mm. The setting range is reduced accordingly from 80 mm to 60 mm.
The bidet module can only be used in combination with wall-hung bidets (fixing gauges for bore hole 180 mm or 230 mm).
The following tools are required for mounting the bidet module:
drill with 10 mm drill bit
ratchet with sockets: 13 mm / 17 mm
fork or ring spanner: 17 mm / 19 mm
The two vertical rails, which surround the module, must be open towards the module and be at an interval of 430 mm.
Secure the module onto the open Steptec rail with the slot nuts supplied:
Insert the slot nut into the opening of the module.
Push the slot nut in slightly.
Turn by 90°.
The slot nut is secured in the Steptec rail.
Align the height of the module.
The interval between the middle fixing level for the threaded bolts to the UEFFL is 330 mm.
Tighten the slot nut with a ring spanner (SW 17).
Tighten the other slot nuts in the same way.
The module is secured on the rail framework.
Screw the threaded bolt into the threaded mount.
Set threaded bolt:
The height of the threaded bolts can be set to three levels.
The interval between both bolts can be set to 180 or 230 mm.
Lock the drainpipe in place in the holding device.
Insert seal.
Set the height of the drainpipe, if required. To do this, loosen the screw above the pipe fixing and set the desired height. Secure with the screw.
Set wall plate fixing:
Loosen screws and set the holder to the required height. Secure with the screws.
Mount the wall plates on-site.
Make water connection.
Single clad pre-wall: Clad with 12.5 mm wide IFGP or 12 mm wide Aqua-KS cladding panels.
When doing so, make sure that no abutting edges converge.
Grout the abutting edges and joints with a suitable filler.
Observe the instruction manual for the cladding panels for more information.
